Kusseneers gallery is a contemporary art gallery and opened its doors on September 11, 2003 in the south of Antwerp. End 2013 the gallery moved to a large industrial building in Brussels.
Open to all media, the gallery presents the work of emerging and mid-career artists. The program of the gallery encourages diversity and experimentation and strives to present all of the artists’ work within a healthy cultural context, to give the viewer the best opportunity to gain understanding of the intentions of the artist. We maintain a close and personal relationship with the artists and accompany and support them along their careers and artistic journeys. It’s our aim to create a space which pushes boundaries and gives artists the freedom to bring their visions to life.
Kusseneers Gallery is located in a renovated old industrial building in Sint-Jans-Molenbeek, only 13 minutes walking from the canal and the Antoine Dansaert area. More than 100 years ago the space was built as a mustard factory. With respect to its soul, the ground floor has been transformed into an exhibition space with high ceilings, flooded with natural light. Kusseneers gallery is easily reachable by public transport or by car, a few parking spaces are available inside the building.
